Kingwood baseball, softball teams pick up wins

The Kingwood Christian School baseball and softball teams picked up wins March 8 over Meadowview Christian and Morgan Academy, respectively.
BASEBALL
Kingwood Christian 13, Meadowview Christian 7
The Lions (2-2) were led by Doug Ledlow, who delivered six strikeouts in seven innings to earn the win on the mound.
Madison Webb, Ryan Tyson, Doug Ledlow and Sawyer Thompson contributed with a combined six RBIs.
SOFTBALL
Kingwood Christian 18, Morgan Academy 5
Karley Chamblee led the Lions (3-0) with four hits. Chamblee also drove in two runs.
Madeline Lee and Whitney Gillespie drove in three runs each.
Stephanie Stevens earned the win on the mound after striking out seven hitters in four innings.
